Supergroupies, the new sensation coming out of Sweden, will release their debut CD this month. The CD will only available in Japan and as an import. SUPergroupies brings high voltage glam metal to the legions of glam fans. They have the vibe of vintage Vain.
Check out track-three - “Hot in Paris” - it sounds a lot like Davy Vain to me. The energy in this band will kick your ass. If you are fan of the glam era you’ve got to get this CD (No matter how much it costs). “Low Blue Flame” is a cool song sounding like T. Rex with an updated flare.
The songs are catchy and head-bobbing with easy melodies to sing along to. “Summertime” is another great tune reminiscent of Pretty Boy Floyd. “Say Goodbye” slows things down with a mellow ballad and highlights Kim Simon’s voice sounds like Vince Neil of Motley Crue (Great Song).
You get thirteen songs of some of the best power pop music that will be released this year. Song after song is so good I wish this was a double album. “I Wish You Would” starts off like The Romantics and bounces into the SUPERGROUPIES style of music.
This is on HELLUVA debut CD by SUPERGROUPIES. This is recommended for fans of Vain, PBF, and Glam fans.
