Back in the days of lipstick, make-up and some of the best music, an era of a culture that was lacking in stability-- glam was at its height. Sweet Cheater was one of those bands! Sweet Cheater has reformed after a very long silence, now are on the resurgence trail bringing back the “Best of the 80’s.”
Their latest release “Eatin’, Ain’t Cheatin’”is fun filled with hooks, great melodies and down to earth lyrics. The sounds are a mixture of Kix and Tesla which is not to shabby. This is defiantly “Party Rock” at its finest. This is the kind of music you can get excited about with the strong riffs, Def Leppard style without the sampling (DO YOU HEAR ME Def Leppard)!
Sweet Cheater put their best foot forward, “Rock Till You Drop” which hard earned sweet fans love. “Summer” reeks of brilliance; the boys have not lost the touch after a big lay off.
The vocals are still strong, maybe the time away will bring success the second time around. The look might have changed but Sweet Cheater can still “Knock Your Socks Off!”
Throughout all ten tracks, you get some fantastic screaming guitars and songs to sing along with. If you’re a Diehard 80’s Metal Fan, you have to get this CD! Just to have some fresh sounds added to your collection. I loved it!!! There is not a bad track on the entire CD.
