Bass lines ripping up the chrome on the laminated side of a CD has the opening track setting high expectations for the debut release by SYDERA. They are not your ordinary progressive hard rock band; they have elements of many genres' including 80's rock. Damon Valley's vocals hit a vein in my heart reaching out to one of my favorite icons Martin Sweet of CRASHDÏET. 'Another False Prophecy' is aggressive yet the blend of melodic guitar sets the mood of dreamscape.

'Burden' sets your imagination free and the vocals by Damon are trance like. The hooks and the uplifting expression with the crunching guitar riffs, makes this song a favorite. The etched like guitar chords and the searing notes are killer on this track.

SYDERA has the potential to be a force in the music world with their unique style of rock. You will also have to acquire a taste for Damon's vocals as you would have for Bono's of U2, but once he has you hooked you'll become an instant fan.

These guys are truly a musical talent, just check out 'High Water', which has guitar qualities of Mark Knopfler. 'High Water' is explosive with the tantalizing subtle keyboards yet still tearing it up at certain points.

'Edge of Hell' brings the hard rock side of SYDERA flowing to the top as all hell breaks loose with full throttle, as the collaboration of instruments set fire and ends with diminishing keyboard. Great tune!

Maybe one of my favorite tunes is 'Invisible' which is a ballad with acoustic Mediterranean style guitar that adds class to a good debut release by SYDERA.
