Love ‘em, hate ‘em, the legendary motor city madman is back with his new offering “LOVE GRENADE.” As I think back, many moons ago when I saw Ted opening up for KISS what a great frontman and we knew that from the classic album “CAT SCRATCH FEVER.” But through the years who would have thought how out spoken Ted would be.
He is loved by some and hated by other for his killing of God’s animals.
But why pick on Ted, because his is high profile, what about the others who are being paid by Government who torture animals for research. Ted takes pride and gorges himself with everything he kills. I myself am an animal lover and regardless of my view I don’t consider Ted a bad person. Ted also teaches children about hunting at his camp.
But one thing besides music Ted will go down in history for is his stand up, upright, outspokenness of being a true American. This guy donates and pours his heart in to some of the hardest situations that a high profile artist can do, even taking it to Capitol Hill. Yeah, you might say this guy is one crazy motherfucker that don’t back down and we need a person like him to stand up for us and Ted’s the man. Go ahead clap, yeah he support our troops and check the cover art of the new “LOVE GRENADE”, showing the evil and the kindness on both hands of the globe.
I know shut up and review the friggin album. OK hear ya go. “LOVE GRENADE” starts things off with slicing guitar and some good anthem style crowd pleaser choruses. Ted put 100% adrenaline into every tracks and the hard edge killer guitar never let’s you down and you can hear that throughout the entire CD.
“Funk U” welcome’s the boys and girls by Ted and gives them a little education lesson on life congratulating them at the end of the song.
“Girl Scout Cookies” has to be a take off of the theme song from ‘The Sopranos’ “Woke Up this Morning”. The guitar work is simply phenomenal.
Ted brings past memories from his AMBOY DUKES days back with an updated version of “Journey to the Center of the Mind” and I am sure a lot of you were thinking I heard that song before. Well that was Ted back in the day, and it don’t hurt having Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw doing background vocals.
Listen to the words on “Stand”, if people only have half the balls Ted has to tell what’s really on your mind maybe we wouldn’t be in hole the way we are now in America, but on the other hand you could end up dead. I say let Ted do the talking I’m running. Pussy!!!
You not only have to listen to the music, you must listen to the lyrics and get inside of a true American or disillusioned human being that has big balls, you be the judge. Either way, this album smokes with hard rock, blues, and southern rock.
