OK - try and find out who these guys are or ask “are they guys?” Who knows…but that really doesn’t matter. Although the mystery will keep you curious, will the music be able to hold your attention?
The stuff has a style of early British pop rock. In “Your Libido,” the music sounds a bit like T. Rex’s “Bang A Gong” and vocally has hints of Marc Bolan. The vocals on “Pick it Up, Pig Boy” all have echo and that becomes quite annoying but the songs are catchy with a sound of Nick Lowe and Dave Edmonds. I really can’t pick out a special tune because they all blend.
It’s funny, as I am listening to “Pick it up, Pig Boy,” and “Look at Her Go” - it has a lyric from “Cruel to be Kind.” Many of the songs are just too boring and basic and my mind wandered; it just could not hold my attention. They need to change it up a little; try a change in style from track to track.
