It’s hard to believe such talent is being swept under the carpet. Russell Arcara is a man of high-classed talent in the realm of Tony Harnell and it is amazing he is not better known. The Way is a project of Arcara’s; hooking up with mastermind Stephen DeAcutis on guitar. Not to overlook Mr. Arcara, but the harmonies on this CD are superb and the subtle keyboards by Charlie Calv make this trio sensational. “Alright People” brings a funk style to the band, although with the melodic vocals of Arcara, you really can’t put your finger on that magic brought forth by these boys. “Alright Right” will have you back tracking to hear it many times. “Where do you Go When Love Is Gone” has tenderness and sentimental feel brought on by the acoustic guitar-strumming in the background. I feel sorrow and pain. “Soul Earth Sky” is phenomenal! It will bring you to tears if you’re thinking of a loved one that is no longer there… the meaning behind the lyrics is there!! It's the pot of gold at the rainbow’s end. POWERFUL!!! Give me a tissue.
With all the destruction and turmoil in the world, The Way is bringing a positive message with their uplifting music, showing such a clear path to the better days that will come. The deepness of the songs will get you all caught up in contemplating their meaning. Arcara lays the groundwork, showing you the direction to follow, keeping you focused with his hypnotic vocals.
Arcara and Stephen DeAcutis also have another project called Friction, bringing a harder style to the medium. Check out both bands that feature the dynamic duo of Arcara and DeAcutis!
