Pulling the breaks on a full steam engine can’t stop this TITANIC as “Full Steam Ahead” their 3rd release has hit the market. Slashing guitar licks and high quality vocals is just a few great points this band possesses. The opening track “Shovel the Coal” is an instant blockbuster that will get the blood pumping it is an anthem- style crowd pleaser that gets the voyage started. “Dead Men’s Bones” keep the adrenaline flowing with Simon K. Tyler’s vocals having hints of Kevin DuBrow -- QUIET RIOT these guys are true rock kings.
Guitarist Bill Menchen SEVENTH POWER/FINAL AXE has a hard-hitting sound with traditional power chords and memorable solos, throughout the CD and the songs display pure power. If you’re looking to get a CD to add to your collection in the mold of RAVEN, MANOWAR that has the crunch of good hard rock, this is the one to add.
There are some gems on “Full Steam Ahead” and it is a flashback to the early days when hard rock was a staple on MTV and head banging was fresh, these boys are trying there best to revive the past and horns up to them because those days are surely missed. Loved the track “The Wind” with the pounding drums of Tim Palmatier, he definitely shines on this track… the heartbeat will have those in the audience fists in the air.
The last two tracks feature STRYPER’s Robert Sweet. The standout track is “Come Home” it has a melodic side yet drives the nail in the coffin to bring together a good hard rock release.
