TRICK OR TREAT or HELLOWEEN and the winner is ….. BOTH! Both bands have killer vocals, play similar style music and both have outstanding musicians. With the new release, “Tin Soldiers” on Valery Records, TRICK OR TREAT will overcome past releases and rise once again. Fans have been licking their chops waiting for this one and will not be let down and with special guests Michael Kiske (ex-HELLOWEEN) on two tracks (“Hello Moon” and “Tears Against Your Smile”) plus Michele Luppi (VISION DIVINE) on “Take Your Chance”, they will enjoy even more lip smacking ecstasy.

One thing for sure this is a heavier release then “Evil Needs Candy Too” back in 2006. The guitar playing is demonic and the drumming by Nicola Tomei is riveting. Starting with track three “Take Your Chance”, the guest vocals of Michele Luppi hooking up with lead vocalist Alessandro Conti is pure delight. Both vocalists complement each other as they trade off leads in this traditional rock tune.

“Hello Moon” is a mellow melodic rocker that highlights Michael Kiske’s (HELLOWEEN) guest spot. The song is a classic tune that is not over the edge for the powerful vocals of Kiske.

Check the vocals of Alessandro Conti on “Elevator To The Sky”, which is one of my favorite tracks. Alessandro has similar qualities of one of the greats, Tony Kakko of SONATA ARCTICA, and although it was nice to have Kiske and Luppi help out on this release; I feel Mr. Conti has come into his own on “Tin Soldiers”.

Now that’s the Michael Kiske I know on “Tears Against Your Smile”. This song is special and with the collaboration between Conti and Kiske it makes this a highlight track. Powerful and exciting with the elevation of jumping an octave sends chills running up the spine. The melodic guitars by Luca Cabri and Guido Benedetti are soaring. Great tune!

I am sure the senses of fans will be overwhelmed with the wait they had for the new “Tin Soldiers”. Power metal has risen once again and TRICK OR TREAT is right there at the top!
