The release of Whitesnake’s “The Definitive Collection” is a milestone in music history, with cuts from almost every single album the band has released. David Coverdale, an icon in the music industry, should be set for a platinum seller. Even if you only like the MTV era of Whitesnake, this CD will give you an insight into some of the best music recorded by the band.
Coverdale was born in Saltburn, Yorkshire, Great Britain in 1951 and performed in bands such as Government and the Fabulosa Brothers before answering an ad in Melody Maker magazine to replace Ian Gillan in Deep Purple. Cloverdale’s seductive vocals caught onto music fans and he became a huge commodity. David has been unstoppable since the first time he stepped on stage and now with “The Definitive Collection,” his name will be heard in even more households.
This is truly a fantastic release that will show the growth of Coverdale from the early influences of Bad Company sounds to the present day. It has all your favorites like “Slide It In”, “Fooling for Your Loving”, “Is This Love” “Still of the Night” and much more. Coverdale reformed Whitesnake in 2003 for a special 25-year celebration tour… joining Coverdale were Doug Aldrich (guitar), Reb Beach (guitar), Marco Mendoza (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums) and Timothy Drury (keyboards).
What else can Coverdale achieve to keep his superstar status, as the future becomes reality…that the next step should be a new studio Whitesnake release! But in the meantime pick up “The Definitive Collection” CD and get to know the history of Whitesnake. Also, check out the new Whitesnake DVD “Live... In The Still Of The Night.”
