Now boys and girls let’s flashback to 1990, when WILD FRONTIER formed in Germany, sending out demo cassettes as many did back in the day. These basement tapes are very sort after by collectors around the world and almost impossible to find. From 1990 to 92’ the band released four of these classic tapes that are in possession of some lucky fans and locked away to be sold on ebay in the future.

After releasing a few more CD’s through the years, WILD FRONTIER is back with “Bite The Bullet.” The opening track “Anything You Want” starts things off with a bang, driving the homer out of the park. What a killer opening song that pumps the adrenaline straight to the heart. The keyboards by Thomas Ellenberger make a big impression indenting the midsection of this song in a way that will make the kiddies jump.

WILD FRONTIER is a cross between BONFIRE and BON JOVI with a magical ability to write classic tunes, with catchy hooks. Vocally Jens Walkenhorst has charisma and it doesn’t hurt having some great background vocals that appear throughout “Bite The Bullet.” These guys have the perfect blend of musicianship with backbone and heart, with the melodic guitar riffs of Jens Walkenhorst and thumping bass lines of Mario Erdmann makes this CD a must have for your collection.

“Good Things Don’t Come Easy” turns the corner with the acoustic work proving they don’t have to plug in to impress. Why they haven’t been contacted by major labels like MTM and Frontiers is a mystery to me. WILD FRONTIER has the caliber to conquer the music world.

“Everytime (I look around)” brings another side of music sounding like SLAUGHTER. This album is amazing, not a bad track on the entire CD and it was an honor to review songs of this quality. I know it is early in the year but this CD should make it into the top 10 CD’s of the year, for our annual Year In Review!!!
