If you are a fan of Industrial music, then you may want to enter the world of WRETCHED ASYLUM on their 2006 self-released album "Seclusion". This CD is packed with plenty of riffs that will drive one's pulse, and sounds that scrape at the walls (of houses and ears), the demo by this Massachusetts Sextet dishes out some intense soundscapes.

Highlights such as "Wrapped in the Sheets of Blood", and "Godless" capture the fury of Phil Smolinsky's Vocals, some cleverly structured sampling, and some pretty chunky guitar sounds recalling GODFLESH, PANTERA, and modern day MINISTRY.

The production is rock solid, although in some of the songs the drums can be more prominent in the mix. The electronic samples/sounds tend to come off a bit jagged at times as well, leaving the listener to strain to hear the other instruments being played.

Overall, "Seclusion" is a good start by WRETCHED ASYLUM. Although Industrial music was never my personal favorite, I feel that if any record were to be released to bring a vital boost to the Industrial scene with today's current musical climate, "Seclusion" would be the perfect choice. No Sugarcoating: just some pure, crude sonic brutality with an abundance of potential to bring WRETCHED ASYLUM out into the limelight.
