Beauty is only skin deep and sex only sells to a point. If you have no talent, most people will catch on sooner or later.
But that is not the case with Cori Yarckin. Cori is in the mold of Hilary Duff and Kelly Clarkson and has just as much talent. “Gratitude” starts things off in high fashion and your imagination will fill up with lustful thoughts. Just because Cori is a sexy petite woman, don’t think she can’t get down and dirty and rock, she can. Music pounds the veins in “So Much For The Real Thing” and I wish it would have kept that hard edge but changed direction to being more melodic. The song starts like a Carnival of Souls song and bounced into a pop tune still being good. Cori’s vocals are powerful and enjoyable. I am sure if “Ringing In My Head” gets some airplay around the globe there should be no reason why this is not a platinum record. If you played the disc on the radio and said, it was a mystery artist the radio station would get bombarded with calls.
I would not put Cori in the reins of pop princess; she is more in the mold of sex kitten that rules. Just about every track has that sing along chorus that the young kids will love. There are also songs like “My Ever After” that fit the style of MazZy Star. I believe the song that will get recognition will be “Gratitude.”
