Well, Zinny Zan, the former front man for the highly successful Shotgun Messiah is back at it again with Zan Clan. The year 2005 finds their new release “We Are Zan Clan, Who The F**K Are You” bringing back memories of the good times of rock.

Zinny recruits platinum-selling songwriter Chris Laney (guitar) who has worked with the likes of Bruce Kulick (KISS) and Randy Piper (WASP). Zan Clan signed with Perris Records who are leading the march in bringing back some of the best music in modern day history. The new CD just oozes of true passion rock. “Go Go Go” will go on to be a trademark for the band. If you did not know who the band was you would have thought it was Def Leppard’s new hit.

The song has the markings of Def Leppard and Cinderella. It’s that funny listening to this CD you hear all kinds of great flashback bands such as Kix, Accept, Def Leppard, Cinderella, and even AC/DC. Zinny just does an ass-kicking job and he has not lost a beat. The screams still have backbone to them and the guitar work by Pontus Norgren has the ear marking of pure sleaze.

I love this CD because it was so fun hearing all those great tunes in a day where music is in a state of shock itself. (Meaning that music today kind of sucks as every band sounds the same). “High Speed Junkie” is a killer tune that will make people in a geriatric ward start dancing. I can go on and on, because tune after tune (such as “So Damn Good”) had me at the computer playing my air drums and ripping in to my air guitar at the same time.

I know age catches up to you, but Zinny must be in a time warp as his vocals sound a lot like Brian Johnson (AC/DC) during the screams and “We Are Zan Clan, Who the F**K Are You” will blow you away.
