That's my boys Chris and Zinny pumping up the volume on a new live CD, "Kickz the Livin' Shit Outta Stockholm City." Produced by Chris Laney, the CD was recorded live at GlamFest (a tribute to the late Dave Lepard of CRASHDIET) in Stockholm City, on Feb 11th, 2006. The double guitars by Chris Laney and Pontus Norgren on this release set new standards for a live recording, as the riveting chords vibrate and the screaming never stops. Zinny, a seasoned veteran, doesn't need any press as he is already in the history books-but I'm going to give it to him anyway. He is truly a remarkable front man that has never stopped striving to make good music.

The sound flashes us back to the height of 80's music. Although I don't know if I will ever get to see Zan Clan live, I gave it my best shot at creating the live feeling by turning the lights off, grabbing a couple brews and turning the volume up to the ear bleeding stage. I made sure my family wasn't home, because I know they would say "It finally happened: daddy went nuts.' Zinny got a lot of audience participation during 'So Damn Good' as he mentions; it's a European reunion of different nationalities as the crowd goes wild. Before the start of 'Heart Died Young,' Zinny says to everyone "About 2 months ago Zan Clan was on this very stage...and played with CRASHDIET. Today during the recording, a good guy decided he didn't have the strength anymore and moved onto the heavens. We all said backstage, 'What a fucking waste.' We all have a life to live, and we should live it to the max. Tonight, I am standing here again on that very same stage and there is one that is not with us any longer. This is for you, Dave," and Zinny starts to cry.

The vibe of sadness will never subside, but we have to move on. 'High Speed Junkie' brings more great music with overflowing hooks, ripping classics, and fun. Song after song is killer like 'Go Go Go.' If you like classic glam metal, you will love it. To tell you the truth, this is the best live CD I have heard since 'Kiss Alive.' Zan Clan has also included some demos, like "Bakk 2 Raise Some Hell," which is just as killer. If you like vintage 80's glam metal, go buy this CD!
