North of England is the birth place of the super group Def Leppard and trying to follow in these huge footsteps is Kid Ego. The hard rock look is back with a touch of glam that is exploding in Europe and Kid Ego is headed in the right direction. Their new two-track demo is high voltage with sounds of Aerosmith, L.A. Guns, and Ratt.

These guys have class and the bone crunching sounds on “Lady Conniver” will surely make Kid Ego a household name. The power between the rhythm guitar Phil Morfitt and lead guitar Birdy smoke and the heartbeat of the bass Chris Rooke and the drums Nikk Miller hooking up make “Lady Conniver” one kick ass tune.

“Till I Die” is reminiscent of “Knock 'Em Dead Kid” by Motley Crue. I love the vocals by Zakk Taylor which has the style of Phil Lewis (L.A. Guns) and Stephen Pearcy (Ratt). These tunes are both killer, I look forward to the full-length release, and I can only hope the new CD will be just as good.
