Japan’s Knights of Round just released their first demo with two tracks. Every time I get a CD from a Japanese band, I never know what to expect but this time around the quality is excellent for a demo. “Time” starts things off with total power at 150 miles per hour without breaks. Knights of Round are doing some major damage on this track. Both Zero and Kai tear it up in the vein of speed metal guitarist Jeff Loomis of Nevermore. The drumming is excellent but at this time they are looking for a new drummer. The vocals are your traditional high-powered screams. “Crystal Heart” starts off with melodic keyboards then an amazing array of talented guitars are added. The vocals by Tony could use a little work but musically they are on the right path to stardom.
