Ha! This should be fun; one of our best writers on our site who is Toe Knee drummer for WILLOW WISP has a new release coming out in January. At this time WW has sent us a four-track EP just for a taste of what's to come. The band was in full force back in 1990, and has been shocking Hollywood for years, becoming one of the main attractions of destruction.

WILLOW WISP has a resemblance to CRADLE OF FILTH and has just as much evil as an altar boy for the Church of Satan founded by Anton LaVey. Make-up dawns the faces of the band which is dressed in garb of a whore in bondage. The band is one of the best drawing bands on the West Coast selling out all venues as the headline over other major acts. They are also a merchandise machine selling calendars, posters, magnets, DVD's, CD's, photos and much more. These guys are like the demonic counterpart to KISS with on HELL of a show.

OK that's enough bullshit, how are the tracks, well...starting things off is 'My Ossuary Covered In Urine' which is a great track, I am not a death metal fan but this is like the heavy side of METALLICA. Killer guitar gives way to masterful vocals by Air-Ik and bending the hearts of haloed angels turning them in disciples of WILLOW WISP. To tell you the truth listening to the first track it sounds like PEARL JAM has been taking over by an incubus.

"Morgue Circus (Planet Star)" has to be the most usual songs I have ever heard and has a disarray of vibes from that subhuman Keith Emerson to a death metal jazz fusion. You have to hear this one for yourself...

Now we are getting down to the clamps on the nipples and blood dripping down the leg of a virgin. Hard core growling vocals has finally made it presence. A truly demonic tune that is making me shit, It's as if speed metal meets death, Toe is kicking the wood on the skin and combustion is overloading, I'm sure there will be an energy outage when 'Incinerator Bound' is being played.

As tears fall in red drops, a melodic guitar sings and a soft-spoken Air-Ik steps to the front, almost in reminiscent of KISS s 'World Without Heroes' when Gene's eye tears 'An Ode To Those Accused Of Being Witches' is embedded. But hold on have WILLOW WISP gone soft, not a chance...There you go, all the entombed mummified bodies have arisen and are stalking the stage as screams being heard 'there will be no mercy on you'. For me the four tracks have some great music, more in the vein of heavy melodic metal and I was quite impressed, so pick up "Enmity" once it is released.
