Heavy Metal in its purest form has returned to reclaim its chivalry in the throes of a technologically advancing society. Does nostalgia and organic regression play a part? In a way, but I feel it’s a retaliation against the modern world and its overabundance of musical diversity. So, here we have Finland's merchants of riveting madness ARMOUR and their authentic ode to all things sleazy and archaic. Reminding me of a synthesis of early W.A.S.P. and ODIN (Prevailingly in the vocal area) ARMOUR has spearheaded the bullet belt revival, cueing songs like "Satan's Knights" and the asinine yet somehow charmingly endearing histrionics of "Heavy Metal Drinkers" to inform all adherents in their call to arms. As the old adage goes, bang thy head that does not bang...Indeed.
