Whoa! My initial impression was a strong recollection of Bleach 'era NIRVANA. Raw and primal, groove oriented garage rock with vicious intent. One can detect this overwhelmingly in "No Reason" and where the former is brutal and uncompromising "Fray" is morose and dire in its sheer melancholy.

A beautiful composition rife with reflections on mortality, Guitarist/Lead vocalist Dan Matthews and Guitarist/Vocalist Rob Blake share omnipotent duel harmonies that at times recall ALICE IN CHAINS and that is something to behold.

"Again" sees the ghost of Kurt Cobain physically resurrected and transferred into the lungs of Mr. Matthews, just listen and marvel at the timbre and harsh atonal qualities during the chorus. This is stellar material bristling with angst, venom and the good old fashioned notion to strap on a guitar and scream defiantly at the world. THE BLACK CLOUDS are a super charged, primal beast baying for the blood of all Rock 'n Roll naysayers. From the garage to the arenas...with all due haste.
