New York's COLOURSOUND's music comes from a special blend of musical background. With no limitations they pull mainly from the alternative genre bellowing sounds of OASIS. The music is highlighted by a mystical element of tinkering samples, yet lead vocalist Doug Batt brings a smooth approach that mellows the heart.

The first track "Slow Down" is a fair tune but COLOURSOUND explode with "We're On Fire", bringing a sense of OASIS and even CROWDED HOUSE. The tune is vibrant and could make an impact on future releases for the band.

COLOURSOUND is headed in the right direction but I feel they need to pick up the pace a bit. At this time they have a basement feel with a folk alternative sound. Like I said "We're on Fire" is the path they should take because that track is excellent. The other tracks are also good but a little laid back.

Band Lineup:
  • Doug Batt - Lead Vocals, Guitar
  • Sean Hieter - Lead Guitar
  • Leni - Bass and Samples
  • Pat Wilson - Drums
