CRUMBLAND from Finland has their debut album “Should I Tell You?” out on the market. The band’s sound is a rock/grunge style. Think PEARL JAM. The opening song “Should Have Told You” is a fast rocker with a fresh sound. It kind of reminds me of the energy of the FOO FIGHTERS. Good opening tune! “Feel You” the next tune on the CD, keeps the blood pumping. The vocals really push the song, as the rhythm section is solid and tight!

This band has a lot of energy that is demonstrated in the next song “Little Town.” Hold on to your seat, as “Little Town” will rock your world. Reminiscent of PEARL JAM once more. So far, the CD is showing signs of something good.

The CD slows down a bit with the song “Wasting Time,” another typical “girl you are the one song.” The CD’s lyric content is all the same wishy-washy relationship stuff that actually bores me silly! But then there are the girls out there that eat this stuff up! I guess that’s what counts.

Another big ballad is “Down.” It’s all right but not my taste. The band picks up the pace again with “Slipaway.” You can really hear the PEARL JAM influence on this one. I guess it’s because the lead singer Jontte Genberg has a similar voice and punctuation style mimicking that of Eddie Vetter.

I like the song “Go. “ The song starts out very slow and moody and then packs a punch. I think this is one of the best tunes on the CD. CRUMBLAND closes the CD out with a very cool tune “Your King” good drumming and bass guitar work and a unique sound makes this one a winner.

CRUMBLAND has talent and the CD shows it. I see a good future for the band and wish them luck!

Rock On!
