ENERTIA’s latest release “Force” will shoot you down with its raspy vocals and heart-pounding guitar riffs. This is the band’s third release and they’d better hope this will be a home run because three strikes and you’re out.

The guitar work by Roman Singleton sets the pace for ENERTIA. “Time to go” starts off ripping and shredding and is a tremendous song to open the CD. “Messed up Son” will get those headbangers bouncing up and down on the wooden floors. Scott Featherstone’s vocals give a vibe that can hit many genres of music from power metal to thrash. “Messed up Son” totally kicks some major ass. Put those headphones on and pump it up (melt your brain!)

“Secrets” slows the vocals down but still the music elevates the song. After “Secrets” the band loses some luster and the songs start to get monotonous. “Withstand” kicks the band back into gear as they did earlier on “Force. The guitar work on “Withstand” is the focal point and busts out making the song really rock. Ending “Force” is “Gun” a hard hitting song that sounds like OVERKILL.

“Force” is at times outstanding and at other times it loses my interest. It is not a bad CD but not a great one either. Pick it up and check it out for yourself.
