This is what I love, finding that uncovered gem hidden in the rough that should be known worldwide. KINGDRAGON coming out of Greece have released a 4 track EP called “Fire in the Sky” of some of the best Indies music coming out this year. One of the reasons why I started RockEyez is just this reason finding bands that could use the exposure to be known and even if we can bring them some kind of attention we did our job. I know some of my staff don’t stray from certain genre’s but my main objective is working with bands to could use our help. We do appreciate the bigger known bands and enjoy every minute of rubbing elbows with the elite but don’t forget at one time they were the new guys too.

As we march on with KINGDRAGON a band that possesses some kick ass musicians in George Aspiotis vocals and keyboards formerly of SPITFIRE, NIGHTFALL and ,b>RAW SILK, Anastasis Fragopoulos on Guitar, John Karachalios on drums formerly of SPITFIRE, SNOWBLIND and SACRED BLOOD plus Byron T. adding the thunder of Bass. Yeah the members went through their glam era and doom metal but have found their niche with pure rock.

The opening song and title track ”Fire in the Sky” is pure delight, thunder-giving way to screaming guitar by Anastasis F. breaking the silence of pleasurable AOR dreams. ,b>George Aspiotis vocals can be interrupted as Ted Poley meets Michael Eden and who wouldn’t mind being mentioned with those boys. “Fire in The Sky” kicks right into high gear and drives this song to the top of the charts. Great song, great musicianship and outstanding vocals. The arrangements are perfection and if you are a melodic rock fan you will adore this one!

“Man of Yesterday” start off with acoustic guitar and keyboards and jolts into a riveting power drill rocker. Aspiotis vocals fit perfect with his keyboards that compliment the other musicians. This is just another sensational tune.

“Hold On 2 Love” takes on a bit of a harder edge, heavily down tuning with Byron T moving into action with his pounding bass lines. Not forgetting the timekeeper John Karachalios who’s the nucleolus to success. This one reminds me of FOREIGNER.

Slamming the keyboards with “Lovely Lady” the last track brings even more class on a high standard almost reaching progressive status. George Aspiotis is such an essential part of KINGDRAGON with his vocals and keyboards makes this guy magical. The guitar is not your typical standard melodic rock guitar Anastasis F goes off on the four tracks. But listen carefully on “Lovely Lady”. DAMN that Anastasis is good. Pick this one up!!! Can’t wait to hear more…
