I love these boys, they are not your typical laid back brassy rock band they have a style that it’s hard to put a finger on. They bring the power you would expect from Marshall Amps and the high quality and mesmerizing technical production that is usually only had with the ‘major’ labels yet their product is of an Indie label. Pure listening delight as LINES OF LEAVING sets a president of sound and you can hear it on “Conscience Rise (No Kiotos?)” and many other of the tracks of their new release “Battle For Humanity.”

“Sacrifice for a Greater Cause” is a magical collaboration showing some of the great talent coming out of Finland these days. This tune has the hardcore guitar sounds of U2’s The Edge yet vocally has a uniqueness that is unheard of. Timo Nyman is a Star in all the words you can name and if LINES OF LEAVING can make the right moves and pick up a good label these boys will skyrocket.

I am plainly saying these guys are playing music that is ahead of it’s time and if you know quality you will pick up their new release “Battle For Humanity.” Janne V. Väänänen guitar blasts greatness with strong clean chords and should have no problem making it to the big time.

You want to hear a killer track; This track begins acoustically then it is taken over by an alter ego of superstar status. Check out the title track “Battle for Humanity.” The song has hints of ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK “Enola Gay” and shoots from the hip slamming musicianship that elevates beyond belief.

This is one helluva debut release by LINES OF LEAVING that has a meditation mode, but don’t relax too much because at times it will blow your speakers.
