Glam rock is alive and well in Europe and the Swedes are the major outcast stirring the pot. SISTER a four-piece looking like a cross between CRASHDÏET and TWISTED SISTER on their new demo “Ain’t Going Home” has been making waves.
The three new tracks are some of the best 80’s glam sounding music I’ve heard since one of my favorite glamsters RUBY SLIPPERS made an impact back in the day. www.myspace.com/rubyslippersrock
SISTER has a similar sound to that of the RUBY SLIPPERS era with Michael Arden and also brings a memory of the club days of MOTLEY CRÜE. The title track “Ain’t going Home” is a good song with catchy lyrics and good melody, but “Faster” is exciting and should bring major attention to the band. Showing versatility SISTER mellows out with “Broken Dreams” kind of like SOUL ASYLUM’s “Runaway Train” track.
If the SISTER can keep on the straight and narrow and not let ego or attitude hinder their development these boys should reach success.
